Lynk & Co has officially introduced its 08 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) to the European market, marking an important step in the company’s expansion. This new SUV offers an impressive 200 kilometers of all-electric range under the WLTP cycle, making it a strong contender for consumers hesitant to fully switch to electric vehicles. The 08 will be available for purchase starting June 2025, with prices starting at €52,995.
The 08 is equipped with both an electric motor and a traditional petrol engine, offering a combined driving range of over 1,100 kilometers. Its battery supports DC fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 33 minutes. This feature is designed to provide greater convenience for drivers, especially those on longer journeys.
Lynk & Co’s 08 marks the third vehicle in the company’s European lineup, signaling its ambition to compete in the D-segment SUV market. This move comes as the company aims to expand its footprint across Europe, with plans to enter new markets and increase its retail presence by 2025. The 08’s versatility and hybrid functionality are expected to appeal to a broad range of customers.
The vehicle will be sold through various channels, including Lynk & Co’s online platform, Club locations, and dealerships. It will be offered in two trims: Core and More. Prospective buyers can sign up for updates and schedule test drives, ensuring that they can experience the vehicle firsthand before it hits the market.
This launch is part of Lynk & Co’s broader strategy to gain a stronger foothold in the European automotive market, leveraging the ongoing shift toward electrification. With the 08 PHEV, the company aims to attract eco-conscious consumers while providing a flexible alternative to fully electric vehicles.
