Volvo Trucks has reached a significant milestone by delivering over 5,000 battery-electric trucks to customers in 50 countries worldwide. This achievement underscores the company’s leadership in the electric heavy-duty vehicle sector and its commitment to sustainable transportation.
Since the introduction of its electric truck lineup in 2019, Volvo’s electric fleet has collectively covered nearly 170 million kilometers in commercial operations. These trucks have contributed to reducing CO₂ emissions and traffic noise levels while enhancing the working environment for drivers.
Volvo Trucks currently offers eight electric truck models, catering to various transport segments, including urban and regional distribution, construction, and waste management. The company’s top five markets for electric trucks are Germany, the Netherlands, the United States, Norway, and Sweden.
