Tata Motors has confirmed the official launch date of its much-anticipated Harrier EV, with the electric SUV scheduled to debut on June 3, 2025. The announcement marks a key milestone in the company’s expanding electric vehicle (EV) portfolio.
The Harrier EV, first unveiled in concept form at Auto Expo 2023, is built on Tata’s advanced Gen 2 EV architecture, derived from the Land Rover D8 platform. The electric SUV will feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, making it a high-performance addition to Tata’s growing EV lineup.
According to Tata Motors, the Harrier EV will offer a range of over 500 kilometers on a single charge, placing it among the most capable electric SUVs currently in the Indian market. The vehicle will include vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities, enabling users to power external devices or charge other EVs.
The design of the Harrier EV closely mirrors the facelifted version of its ICE counterpart but with distinctive EV styling elements such as a blanked-off grille, LED light bar, and redesigned rear bumper. The interior is also expected to feature a modern digital cockpit and premium finishes.
Tata Motors has yet to reveal the pricing of the Harrier EV, but industry analysts anticipate it will be competitively positioned to rival the growing mid-size EV SUV segment. The company is expected to announce booking and delivery details at the launch event.
The Harrier EV launch reflects Tata Motors’ strategic push to dominate India’s EV market. With successful models like the Nexon EV and Punch EV already on the roads, Tata is aiming to lead the next wave of premium electric mobility solutions in the country.
