Mercedes-Benz Vision V concept, unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show, is set to begin its global tour, with the first stop in Dubai. This luxurious, chauffeur-driven limousine emphasizes a “Private Lounge” experience, focusing on exceptional comfort, style, and exclusivity. The Vision V offers a preview of the company’s future luxury van lineup, particularly the upcoming Mercedes-Benz VLS model.
The Vision V’s interior is designed to provide a first-class experience, featuring lounge-style seats that recline into flatbeds, a 65-inch retractable screen, a 42-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system, and switchable glass partitions for privacy. Additional amenities include a center console that doubles as a display cabinet and folds into a chessboard, ambient lighting, and a customizable entertainment suite offering karaoke, gaming, and relaxation modes.
Externally, the Vision V showcases a sleek black exterior with illuminated rear light frames and large silver wheels. The design incorporates new lines while maintaining iconic Mercedes-Benz silhouette characteristics, such as a sleek roofline, short overhangs, and a long wheelbase. These elements contribute to the vehicle’s luxurious and modern appearance.
The Vision V is built on Mercedes-Benz newly developed, modular, and scalable Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA), set to underpin the next generation of its MPV and commercial vehicle offerings starting in 2026. This platform allows for clear differentiation between private-use Grand Limousines and utility-focused transporters, enabling customized solutions based on design, features, and functionality.
The upcoming VLS model, expected to launch in 2026, will be produced at Mercedes-Benz Vitoria plant in Spain. This ultra-luxury electric van will offer a unique combination of space, exclusivity, and advanced digital experiences, targeting high-end clientele seeking a premium travel experience.
By introducing the Vision V and the forthcoming VLS model, Mercedes-Benz aims to redefine the luxury MPV segment, offering vehicles that blend traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. This strategic move positions the company to meet the evolving demands of luxury consumers worldwide.
