Ola e-scooters frequently make news headlines, sometimes for good reasons and sometimes not so good. The electric vehicle is making news this time around because of its driver, though. A recent incident involved a scooter being taken into an elevator by the owner of Ola Electric to charge it at home. After the CCTV video of the owner transporting the EV appeared online, the incident was made public.
The owner most likely felt forced to act because of the subpar charging system in his housing society. In order to transport the Ola Electric scooter to his home, the man was seen riding it in the elevator. It should be noted that India’s EV adoption rate is rising, as evidenced by the growth in EV sales month over month. To reach every consumer, the charging infrastructure must still be improved.
Ola Electric is currently working to create a charging network to help consumers with their problems. However, unlike Ather Energy with the Ather Dot or Bajaj Chetak’s home charging box, the manufacturer still doesn’t have a setup for a home charger. As a result, the owner is dependent on their home’s charging system. Even though EV charging stations are now present in the majority of recently constructed apartment buildings, some locations still lack them.
