Upcoming electric SUVs from Mahindra

More information regarding Mahindra Electric Automobiles Limited’s (MEAL) upcoming lineup of electric SUVs (ES) was revealed. MEAL is Mahindra & Mahindra’s electric division.

At its ‘Futurescape’ presentation in Cape Town, South Africa, Mahindra released additional information, including the launch schedules for four of its planned electric SUVs (ES) and their powertrain specifications. A brand-new “infinity” version of its emblem was also presented, exclusive to this line of (ES).

Mahindra has stated that the INGLO platform will serve as the foundation for all next electric SUVs. At the ceremony, the electric motor specifications were also made public.

Between December 2024 and April 2026, the company will introduce four new electric SUVs built on the INGLO platform and architecture.

The XUV.e8, which will debut in December 2024, will be Mahindra’s first brand-new electric SUV.

The following vehicle in line, the Mahindra XUV.e9, will debut in April 2025. This will be the XUV.e8’s sportier variant. It will probably also have XUV e8-like interiors and mechanicals.

Both Mahindra XUV.e models will be fitted with a Valeo-sourced motor that has a maximum torque of 380 Nm and a peak output of 170 kW (231 hp).
