Ultraviolette Automotive has revealed plans to expand its manufacturing presence in Karnataka as part of its long-term growth strategy. The electric vehicle company aims to scale up production and strengthen its position in India’s rapidly growing EV market through this expansion plan.

As part of this development, the company plans to increase capacity at its existing manufacturing facility and also set up a new production plant in the state. This step is mainly focused on meeting the growing demand for high-performance electric two-wheelers and supporting the company’s future growth plans.

Ultraviolette has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Karnataka during the Invest Karnataka Conclave held in Bengaluru. The agreement highlights the state government’s support in promoting electric vehicle manufacturing and innovation.

Company CEO and Co-founder Narayan Subramaniam said that Karnataka has played an important role in the company’s journey. He mentioned that the strong EV ecosystem, availability of skilled talent, and supportive policies in the state will help Ultraviolette in its next phase of expansion.

The company’s CTO and Co-founder Niraj Rajmohan also noted that Karnataka has supported Ultraviolette’s research and development efforts. According to him, strong engineering talent, supplier networks, and access to industrial hubs have helped the company build globally competitive EV products.

Ultraviolette, which is headquartered in Bengaluru, is known for its performance electric motorcycles like the F77. The company currently operates more than 40 experience centres across India and plans to expand to 100 cities by 2026, while also growing its presence in international markets including Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
