Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) has unveiled its next-generation battery technologies at its Super Technology Day 2026, highlighting major advancements in electric vehicle (EV) performance, fast charging, and energy storage solutions. The company continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in battery innovation with a strong focus on efficiency and sustainability.
At the core of the announcement was CATL’s third-generation Qilin battery, which is claimed to offer a driving range of over 1,000 kilometers on a single charge. The new battery architecture improves energy density while reducing weight, helping enhance vehicle performance and extend driving range for future EV models.
The company also introduced its latest Shenxing ultra-fast charging battery, capable of delivering significant charge in just a few minutes.
