SWITCH Mobility, a leading manufacturer of electric commercial vehicles, showcased its flagship EiV12 electric bus at the Best of Bharat & Mauritius Expo 2026. The event provided an important platform for the company to demonstrate its latest electric mobility solutions while strengthening trade and business ties between India and Mauritius.
The showcase follows SWITCH Mobility’s successful delivery of 100 electric buses to Mauritius, marking a significant milestone in the company’s international expansion strategy. The deployment supports the island nation’s efforts to adopt cleaner and more sustainable public transportation systems while reducing carbon emissions.
Designed specifically for global markets, the EiV12 electric bus features a modern 12-meter platform with a 48-seat configuration. The vehicle combines passenger comfort, operational efficiency, and advanced engineering, making it suitable for both urban and intercity transportation requirements.
The bus is powered by a high-performance Permanent Magnet Synchronous AC motor that delivers up to 235 kW of peak power. It is equipped with advanced Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology and offers a driving range of up to 300 kilometers on a single charge, depending on operating conditions and battery configuration.
To enhance fleet productivity, the EiV12 supports CCS-2 DC fast charging technology with dual-gun charging capability. The vehicle also incorporates floor-mounted battery packs, air suspension systems, and an integrated Fire Detection and Suppression System, ensuring improved safety, stability, and passenger comfort.
A key highlight of the electric bus is SWITCH iON, the company’s proprietary connected mobility platform. The system enables real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, remote diagnostics, and fleet management capabilities. Through its participation at the Mauritius Expo 2026, SWITCH Mobility reinforced its commitment to advancing sustainable transportation and expanding its presence in international electric vehicle markets.
