SAEINDIA will host the 23rd Asia Pacific Automotive Engineering Conference (APAC 23) at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi on November 13–14, 2026. The conference will be organised under the theme “Xellerating towards Safe, Secure, Sustainable & Intelligent Mobility” and will bring together automotive engineers, researchers, technology companies, policymakers, start-ups and other mobility industry stakeholders from India and across the Asia-Pacific region.
The conference is expected to attract more than 1,000 delegates and 500 mobility experts. According to the Ministry of Heavy Industries, the two-day event is expected to feature more than 150 technical presentations and 80 exhibitors. It will provide a platform for participants to exchange technical knowledge, showcase emerging technologies and explore collaboration opportunities across the automotive engineering and mobility sectors.
APAC 23 will cover several areas of automotive engineering, including future powertrains, automated and connected mobility, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, software-defined vehicles and vehicle-as-a-digital-platform technologies. Other technical topics listed by SAEINDIA include digital transformation, digital twins, vehicle dynamics, human factors, advanced materials, lightweighting, energy, emissions, environmental sustainability, life-cycle assessment, standards and regulations.
Alongside its technical sessions, the conference will feature an exposition, a Technology Theatre and networking opportunities. The exposition will enable participating organisations to showcase their technologies, products, engineering capabilities and mobility solutions. The Technology Theatre will provide a platform for organisations to present technological developments, product innovations and engineering solutions to conference participants.
The event will also feature TechHive, a dedicated platform for mobility start-ups to showcase their innovations and connect with industry leaders, technology experts, investors, potential customers and collaborators. The initiative is intended to strengthen connections between emerging businesses and the wider automotive ecosystem while creating opportunities for technology exchange and collaboration within the Asia-Pacific mobility community.
Originating in 1981 as the International Pacific Conference, APAC has evolved into a collaborative automotive engineering forum representing 11 countries across the Asia-Pacific region. APAC 23 marks SAEINDIA’s return to hosting the conference in India after a gap of 15 years. The event aims to facilitate regional engagement, engineering knowledge-sharing and collaboration on technologies shaping safe, secure, sustainable and intelligent mobility.
