BikeWo Green Tech Limited (“BikeWo) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Green Drive Auto Services Private Limited (Green Drive Mobility) to jointly develop and scale electric logistics operations across India, with a particular focus on last-mile, mid-mile and long-haul freight transportation. The companies share an ambitious vision of building a large-scale green logistics platform with a fleet of at least 5,000 electric trucks over the coming years.
Green Drive Mobility is an established player in India’s electric logistics ecosystem, operating a fleet of over 350 electric trucks and approximately 8,000 electric two-wheelers. Its truck logistics clientele includes More Retail, DHL and Gati, among others. The company has also been a pioneer in ONDC-enabled last-mile logistics, supporting leading quick-commerce companies through its electric two-wheeler operations.
The collaboration brings together Green Drive Mobility’s established operating infrastructure, enterprise customer relationships and fleet management expertise with BikeWo’s strategic focus on fleet ownership, financing, institutional partnerships and large-scale EV logistics development.
As part of the long-term association, BikeWo has expressed its intent to progressively invest up to ₹150 crore in Green Drive Mobility over the coming years, subject to mutually agreed commercial terms, business requirements, necessary approvals and definitive arrangements. The proposed investments are intended to support fleet expansion, technology integration, operational infrastructure and the development of new institutional logistics opportunities.
A key focus of the partnership will be accelerating the adoption of electric trucks for industrial freight, retail distribution, regional transportation and long-haul logistics. The companies also intend to leverage their combined capabilities to strengthen enterprise partnerships, expand geographic coverage and develop efficient, technology-enabled fleet operations.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Hiten Pal Saklani, Chief Executive Officer of BikeWo Green Tech Limited, said: “The transition towards electric freight transportation presents a tremendous opportunity in India. Green Drive Mobility has built a strong operational foundation with an established fleet and relationships with leading enterprises. Through this partnership, we aim to combine our strengths to build a significant green logistics platform, across first-mile, mid-mile, last-mile and long-haul transportation. Our shared ambition is to scale to at least 5,000 electric trucks, supported by progressive investments, institutional partnerships and sustainable business models.”
Commenting on the development, Mr. Ala Harikrishna, Founder and CEO of Green Drive Mobility, said: “Our association with BikeWo marks an important milestone in Green Drive Mobility’s growth journey. Having established a strong presence across electric truck logistics and last-mile delivery, we see significant opportunities to expand our operations and serve a larger institutional customer base. This collaboration will enable us to strengthen our capabilities, accelerate fleet deployment and contribute to the growth of sustainable transportation across India.”
The strategic collaboration aligns with BikeWo’s broader vision of building an integrated electric mobility and logistics platform through fleet ownership, leasing, operations and strategic partnerships. Both companies intend to work towards creating a scalable, commercially sustainable green logistics ecosystem supporting India’s transition to electric transportation.
Further details regarding investment structures, deployment schedules and implementation milestones will be communicated as appropriate.
