The financing covers five assets with a combined capacity of 1.2 GW, comprising two wind farms, two battery storage projects and one solar farm across three Australian states. The portfolio includes a combination of operational assets and projects under construction.

The 13 lenders participating in the financing are ANZ, Bank of America, Bank of China, Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC), Export Development Canada, HSBC, ING, KfW IPEX, Mizuho, National Australia Bank (NAB), UOB, Société Générale and Westpac. The financing package supports Neoen’s portfolio of renewable energy assets across Australia.

The five assets covered by the financing include the 150 MW / 193.5 MWh Hornsdale Power Reserve and the 209 MW Goyder South Wind Farm Stage 1A, both located in South Australia. In New South Wales, the portfolio includes the 440 MWp Culcairn Solar Farm and the 215 MW / 963 MWh Culcairn Battery. The fifth asset is the 179 MW Narrogin Wind Farm in Western Australia.

With this latest financing, Neoen has raised more than AUD 5 billion in debt financing in Australia since 2024. This funding covers 4.7 GW of combined capacity distributed across 20 wind, solar and battery storage assets in multiple Australian states.

Neoen has contributed over 6 GW of wind, solar and battery storage capacity to Australia’s energy transition. The company has an extensive development pipeline and a multibillion-dollar forward investment plan, with an ambition to reach 10 GW of capacity in Australia by 2030.

Jean-Christophe Cheylus, Regional CEO Australia Pacific at Neoen, said the company appreciates the continued support of its long-term lending partners and welcomes new lenders. He added that the transaction highlights the strength, depth and growth of its Australian portfolio. Xavier Barbaro, Group CEO of Neoen, described the transaction as the company’s largest financing to date. He said it reflects the quality and diversity of its assets, strengthens its balance sheet and supports its ability to invest in new projects and consolidate its position in Australia’s energy transition.
