Pilipinas Shell and SUN Mobility will deploy their battery-swapping technology for EVs in the Philippines.
The goal of this collaboration is to accelerate the uptake of electric vehicles in the Philippines. It offers a workable, affordable solution with no tailpipe emissions. It backs the recently passed electric vehicles Industry Development Act. This Act supports environmentally friendly electric transportation.
Shell Mobility Stations will set up SUN Mobility Swap Points as part of this pilot project. Modern interoperable technology, such as Quick Interchange Stations, Smart Batteries, and Smart Networks, is the foundation of these Swap Points (cloud-based IoT backend).
This will make battery swapping for electric two- and three-wheelers at Shell mobility stations possible in under two minutes. It offers a substantial range of cost-effective solutions. The pilot is slated to debut in the first half of 2023.
The co-founder and executive director of SUN Mobility are Ajay Goel. Our technology is the best in the business, and we have a tonne of real-world experience.
