The “SUZUKI-TATA ELXSI Offshore Development Center” was opened in Pune, India, by Suzuki Motor Corporation, a multinational mobility manufacturer based in Japan, and Tata Elxsi, a world leader in design and technology services. This specialized facility will propel Suzuki’s cutting-edge engineering advances, influencing the direction of mobility in the future.

By supporting Suzuki’s objectives for sustainable innovation in lightweight design, safety, style, and engineering, eco-friendly materials, and sophisticated simulations to increase time-to-market, Tata Elxsi will help the company realize its green mobility vision. In order to promote energy-efficient solutions for electric, hybrid, and alternative fuel vehicles, the alliance will also concentrate on software-defined vehicles and next-generation powertrains.

Katsuhiro Kato, Suzuki’s chief technology officer, emphasized the center’s significance as a central element of Suzuki’s innovation strategy during the inauguration. To fulfill changing demands, Suzuki has to speed electronic and virtual development as the industry advances in Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric technologies. Tata Elxsi is a perfect partner for introducing innovative ideas to the market because of their proficiency in sophisticated computers, simulation, and digital design. Mr. Kato stated, “This strategic and long-term partnership allows India’s talent to actively contribute to our development efforts globally and incorporates Suzuki’s endeavor of minimising energy.”

The opening of the SUZUKI-TATA ELXSI Offshore Development Center is a major turning point in our collaboration with Suzuki and our shared vision for the future of mobility, said Manoj Raghavan, MD & CEO of Tata Elxsi. With its design-led, digital-first strategy, Tata Elxsi is in a unique position to help Suzuki achieve its sustainability and energy-minimization objectives while responsibly and precisely developing the future of automotive engineering. It gives us great pleasure to accompany Suzuki on its path to revolutionary automotive engineering.
