Bajaj Auto has introduced the next-generation Chetak electric scooter. More features and a new platform are features of the latest Chetak avatar. The Chetak is now available in three different forms. The Chetak costs between Rs 120,000 and Rs 127,000 (ex-showroom, India).
The 3.5kWh battery that powers the next-generation Chetak is now housed beneath the floorboard thanks to a redesigned frame. The scooter also comes with a 950W charger, and Bajaj Auto claims a greater range of 153km. According to Bajaj, an 0-80% charge may be made in about three hours. Additionally, according to the business, the new battery weighs 3 kg less.
Apart from this, the Chetak uses a 4kW motor and is equipped with the same parts as the Chetak from the earlier model. The advertised performance is comparable to the top two models’ top speed of 73 kph and the base 3503 model’s top speed of 63 kph.
One of the main advantages of moving to a floor-mounted battery is more boot room. This problem, which was one of the few issues with the old Chetak, has been fixed because the new 35-liter boot is among the biggest in the industry. The wheelbase has grown by 25 mm to 1350 mm, and the seat is now 80 mm longer.
The new Chetak comes with a three-year, 50,000-kilometer guarantee from the firm. Bajaj has only disclosed the prices of two models so far, with plans to introduce the standard 3503 model later. Models like the TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, Ampere Nexus, and Ola S1 series are currently competitors of the Chetak.
