India’s commercial vehicle manufacturers and distributors will soon benefit from globally proven, OEM-grade multimedia solutions through a new partnership between Indian-based auto electronics specialist A3T Technologies and global connected vehicle solutions provider Directed Technologies.

The strategic collaboration brings Directed’s advanced Multimedia Units (MMUs) to Indian roads for the first time, delivering factory-fit and dealer fit aftermarket safety, connectivity and productivity enhancements tailored to local fleet conditions.

Directed’s MMU solutions are already trusted by more than 5,000 commercial fleets globally with over 350,000 units deployed.

The solutions feature high-performance audio-visual navigation, an intuitive touch screen and seamless mobile device integration.

Engineered to OEM standards, the MMUs help reduce driver distraction, improve operational safety and offer multilingual support with network-aware configuration – ideal for India’s diverse and dynamic transport environment.

“This partnership represents a powerful fusion of proven international technology with deep local expertise,” said Mark Whitmore, Senior Vice President Sales and Customer Growth at Directed Technologies.

“Together, we’re not just selling products, we’re co-developing solutions tailored to India’s unique market needs. From delivering localised support to enabling innovation at scale, we’re laying the groundwork for long term growth in the region. Our technology is already proven at scale, with deployments across Australia, South America, Africa, and Asia. It’s engineered for reliability and built to be highly customisable—meeting local regulatory, language, and connectivity requirements.”

“This partnership will help deliver advanced, reliable, and scalable multimedia solutions to the Indian market,” said Aniketh More, Founder of A3T Technologies. “It’s a significant step forward in revolutionising India’s automotive and technology landscape.”

Directed Technologies is in the process of registering its office in India, with a strategic focus on the automotive market. To lead this initiative, the company has appointed Vishnu Verma as Country Manager. India’s commercial automotive market continues to grow rapidly, with 5.1 million vehicles sold in 2024 and projected to reach 7.5 million by 2030. A3T’s strong relationships with leading bus and truck manufacturers and its network of regional distributors will allow Directed to accelerate market access while offering local support and seamless customer service.
