Arenq, a leading storage battery manufacturer and distributor, has formed a three-year partnership with Chennai-based Lucas TVS for EV motors & controllers.
Arenq will use the partnership to expand its sales and marketing services in order to facilitate the distribution of Lucas motors and controllers throughout India. It plans to distribute 50,000 motors and controllers to various industries. This includes motors with capacities ranging from 1KW to 15KW for use in a variety of applications such as two-wheelers, high-speed passenger automobiles, and pick-up vans.

As part of this collaboration, Lucas TVS will train Arenq engineers in product maintenance and troubleshooting so that consumers can receive immediate service. This will help Arenq’s plan to establish motor and controller service centres across India.

V G Anil, Head of Operations, Arenq, “This collaboration is a step towards bolstering the EV powertrain industry in India. Our robust sales and service expertise, combined with Lucas TVS’s over 60 years of motor manufacturing expertise, will provide automakers with high-end support. Also, we are looking forward to bolstering the capabilities of our team through this association.”

According to Arenq, it is India’s strongest manufacturer and distributor of energy storage for a range of industries. It gives great USP batteries, energy storage solutions, and EV and solar batteries to a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, defense, petrochemicals, and refineries.
