In a pivotal step towards strengthening Nepal’s automotive workforce, the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) have signed a landmark agreement to foster skill development and capacity building in the country’s automotive sector. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in addressing the skills gap and aligning Nepal’s automotive industry with global standards.

Highlighting the significance of this partnership, Mr. F R Singhvi, President, ASDC stated, “This initiative is a testament to the shared vision between India and Nepal in fostering growth through collaboration. By combining our expertise, we are not only enabling skill development in Nepal’s automotive sector but also strengthening the long-standing relationship between our nations. Together, we aim to create a future-ready workforce that contributes to the industry’s growth and prosperity on both sides of the border.”

The partnership will focus on delivering high-quality training and certification programs, including Training of Trainers (ToT) and Training of Assessors (ToA), to ensure impactful and sustainable skill development in Nepal. Designed to address the immediate needs of Nepal’s automotive sector, the programs will equip trainers, assessors, and participants with both practical expertise and theoretical knowledge tailored to meet global standards.

Mr. Karan Choudhary, President, NADA emphasized, “This partnership comes at a crucial time for Nepal’s automotive industry. By prioritizing skill development, we are investing in the backbone of the sector—its people. This initiative will not only address the immediate skills gap but also create a pipeline of talent equipped to drive the industry’s growth in the years to come.”

Adding to the vision, Ms. Shraddha Suri Marwah, President, ACMA remarked, “As the automotive landscape evolves, partnerships like this are essential for ensuring that the workforce remains at the forefront of innovation. By leveraging our collective expertise, we aim to deliver training programs that set new benchmarks for excellence in the industry.”

The ASDC-NADA-ACMA partnership is expected to serve as a cornerstone for capacity building in Nepal’s automotive ecosystem, creating a skilled workforce capable of addressing the industry’s dynamic challenges. By combining resources and expertise, this collaboration is poised to elevate the standards of training and create a sustainable talent pool to propel the automotive sector forward.
