Ather Energy has successfully installed over 400 fast-charging stations across Maharashtra. The expansion is part of its growing Ather Grid network, focused on easing access to charging for electric two-wheeler users in the state.
The charging network now spans across 35 cities, including key regions such as Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Nashik. The installations also cover vital commuting corridors like Mumbai–Pune, Pune–Satara, and Kolhapur–Sangli, making long-distance EV travel more convenient and accessible.
To further enhance compatibility, Ather has deployed 220 charging points based on the LECCS (Light Electric Combined Charging System) standard. These chargers are interoperable, enabling use by other EV brands as well. All LECCS chargers have also been integrated into Google Maps for ease of navigation.
Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, emphasized that the company’s goal is to ensure riders always have access to a charger when needed. He added that as Ather expands its retail presence, the fast-charging network will grow proportionately to offer a reliable and seamless experience for EV users.
On a national level, Ather now operates more than 3,300 fast-charging points, making it India’s largest EV fast-charging network for two-wheelers. These chargers can deliver 15 km of range with just 10 minutes of charging, helping reduce downtime for riders in both urban and intercity travel.
In Maharashtra alone, Ather has established 64 Experience Centres and 42 Service Centres across 37 cities. The company is also working with partners like HPCL and EV Dock to accelerate infrastructure deployment, as it continues its push to drive mass EV adoption across India.
