Ather Energy has introduced a new variant of its Rizta electric scooter—Rizta S—with a larger 3.7 kWh battery, priced at ₹1.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This new configuration offers more range and adds to the growing demand for feature-rich EV scooters in India.

The updated Rizta S now delivers a certified range of 160 km on a single charge, making it one of the top contenders for long-range electric scooters in the country. The new variant complements the earlier 2.9 kWh version, which offered 123 km range and was priced lower at ₹1.27 lakh.

Ather is targeting urban commuters and family users with this practical upgrade. The Rizta S is designed for comfort and utility, featuring a spacious seat, 34-liter under-seat storage, and Ather’s smart connectivity features like navigation, call alerts, and auto-reply via the LCD dashboard.

With this launch, Ather has expanded its Rizta lineup to three versions—Rizta S (2.9 kWh), Rizta S (3.7 kWh), and Rizta Z (3.7 kWh). The Rizta Z remains the top-end variant, equipped with additional tech features like the larger 7-inch TFT touchscreen and premium color choices.

The Rizta S (3.7 kWh) retains Ather’s signature build quality, a robust aluminum frame, and regenerative braking. It is also compatible with Ather’s fast-charging grid, allowing 15 km of range added in just 10 minutes—making it ideal for daily city runs.

With growing competition in the electric scooter segment, Ather is positioning the Rizta as a value-packed, family-oriented EV. The new variant strengthens its offering against rivals like TVS iQube and Ola S1 Air, while reinforcing Ather’s commitment to innovation and user-centric upgrades.
