Battrixx receives AIS 156 phase 2 certification for EV batteries

The top EV battery producer in India, Battrixx, announced that it has received ARAI certification for its EV batteries under AIS 156 Amendment III Phase 2. One of the first EV battery manufacturers to receive Phase 2 certification is Battrixx right now. This certification was issued well in advance of the Government of India’s deadline of 31 March 2023.
The battery packs will be certified for AIS Amendment III Phase 2 in November, the company said, after completing the internal testing necessary for this phase. The batteries were certified ahead of schedule as a result of ongoing R&D and testing efforts.

Kabra Extrusiontechnik Ltd’s Vice-Chairman & MD, Anand Kabra, stated that “AIS 156 Amendment III was announced in August 2022. It requires thermal propagation control and early warning systems. Smart BMS, data storage. Battrixx had been working with its R&D department since the last year to make safe packs. We were able to implement the AIS Amendment well ahead of the target due to our head-start initiative.”

For its 60-volt, 48-volt, and 6 extra batteries, Battrixx provided AIS 156 Phase II Certificates to Battrixx. Now, far ahead of its rivals, Battrixx is able to provide these batteries to its customers and potential customers. Additionally, Battrixx is IATF 16949 certified.

Kabra also stated, “Our multi-functional capabilities have allowed us to create an excellent process and produce high-quality auto products. We are building a culture that values innovation and customer excellence. The next phase of this journey is underway with the certification of AIS 156 Phase III Phase 2.”

“We will continue to invent, collaborate, and create batteries that are highly safe, efficient, and optimal.”

Battrixx also established a manufacturing facility within the last 3 months to manufacture batteries in accordance with AIS Amendment III Phase 2 requirements. They are now ready to begin mass production immediately.
