For the current soccer season, FC Bayern Munich’s top players and coaching staff have been handed brand-new business cars with an emphasis on sustainability and electrification. Upon handing over the keys to an array of high-end all-electric models at the Audi Piazza in Ingolstadt, Audi employees maintained the partnership that has seen electric vehicles become the club’s fleet standard since 2020.
Some of the athletes who received automobiles were Harry Kane, Joshua+ Kimmich, Manuel Neuer, head coach Vincent Kompany, and Audi SQ8 SUV e-tron2 models. Emerging talent Aleksandar Pavlović selected the Audi Q4 e-tron, while rising sensation Jamal Musiala selected the Audi Q6 SUV e-tron. The fleet demonstrates Audi’s commitment to encouraging the usage of electric vehicles by Germany’s best soccer club.
The 22-year partnership between Audi and FC Bayern Supervisory Board Member Gernot Döllner was highlighted with the statement, “As we move towards an electric future, FC Bayern’s professional players are important ambassadors, helping to inspire people about electric mobility with our all-electric models.” Michael Diederich, vice chairman of FC Bayern Munich, emphasized this concept and highlighted the team’s dedication to sustainability through its partnership with Audi, which is consistent with FC Bayern’s “Mitnand” sustainability plan.
As part of the ongoing partnership between FC Bayern Munich and Audi, the official FC Bayern app is now accessible on the Audi Application Store, allowing fans to stay in contact with their team while they’re on the go. The app is made with in-car use in mind, offering live match updates, news, match reports, and access to exclusive material like interviews and livestreams. A select number of Audi vehicles with the most recent infotainment system (MIB 3) are equipped with it, including the Audi Q6 e-tron, Audi A8, and others.
