BLive & Awign, the biggest work-as-a-service platform in India serving leading companies across many industries, have declared a strategic partnership. Amidest the next 12 months, this collaboration plans to onboard 10,000 riders for BLive’s EV Rental Program, switching last-mile consignments in India.
Well-known for its innovative task completion solutions, Awign concentrates on streamlining processes, ensuring top-notch outcomes, and deftly managing costs for large businesses. Top companies in sectors including automotive, retail, FMCG, education, manufacturing, construction, pharmaceuticals, and more collaborate with Awign. There are more than 1.5 million gig workers in this community.
Our partnership with BLive will enable gig workers to obtain affordable, eco-friendly electric vehicles (EVs), completely changing the last-mile delivery market. BLive’s EZY EV Rental Program eliminates financial barriers by providing flexible rental terms and reasonably weekly prices as low as Rs 1,500. The “Rent to Own” concept encourages sustainability and financial independence by enabling users to buy their EVs after 36 months.
Industry surveys reveal that 77% of last-mile delivery riders use electric vehicles (EVs) because of their environmental advantages, despite continued financial challenges. BLive’s initiative handles these issues by providing competitive pricing in an effort to promote EV usage more widely. BLive has collaborated with top manufacturers like TVS, Ather, Bounce, and Revolt to provide high-end electric vehicles that save a significant amount of money on fuel costs, insurance, and maintenance.
Using the BLive EZY platform, riders may purchase EVs with small down payments and no credit check. To guarantee dependable servicing, the program offers extended warranties, comprehensive insurance, and roadside assistance. Gig workers also gain from substantial fuel cost savings and the opportunity to support a clean future.
Samarth Kholkar, CEO and Co-Founder of BLive, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, “For BLive, working with Awign is a big accomplishment. The financial obstacles for delivery workers have been significantly lowered by our EZY EV Rental Programme, and this collaboration will hasten India’s transition to electric vehicles. We are dedicated to advancing sustainable methods and revolutionizing last-mile delivery alongside Awign.”
Gurpreet Singh,Co-founder and CBO of Awign, commented, “For some time now, Awign has been actively engaged in the development of technology linked to sustainable mobility. We have been working towards operational excellence and sustainability, from establishing charger installation infrastructure across India to onboarding 10,000 riders for BLive’s EZY EV Rental Programme.”
The goal of the collaboration between BLive and Awign is to decrease environmental impact, improve operational efficiency, and hasten the adoption of electric mobility among gig workers. In the next 12 months, BLive and Awign want to deploy 10,000 electric bikes in an effort to redefine sustainability and economic empowerment in the gig economy.
By 2025, the market for electric two-wheelers is expected to reach 1.6 million units, indicating the rapid growth of the Indian EV sector. This development is mostly due to the gig economy, particularly last-mile delivery services. By utilizing this trend, this partnership helps gig workers all throughout India benefit from the switch to electric vehicles.
