The S1 Air, the most cheap electric scooter produced by Ola Electric, an electric vehicle company based in Bengaluru, recently went on sale. The business currently claims that it has received over 50,000 reservations since the purchase window was opened at an introductory price of Rs. 1.1 lakh (with the FAMEII subsidy), ex-showroom, in just a few short days.
Over 3,000 reservations for the EV were made within a few hours of its July 27 introduction, indicating a positive reception from consumers.
CEO Bhavish Aggarwal, posted on his social media accounts to extend the introductory price offer to midnight on 15th August, 2023, in response to tremendous demand and booking volume that exceeded estimates. After that, the EV‘s ex-showroom price will be Rs. 1.2 lakh.
Ola S1 Pro Review: Great progress but not glitch free yet
The S1 variation was discontinued, leaving the corporation with just two items to choose from: the S1 Air, which is the entry-level model, and the S1 Pro, which is the highest-end model. The 3.0 kWh battery pack and 8.5 kW motor used in the S1 Air provide 58 Nm of torque.
The S1 Air, which can accelerate from 0 to 40 kilometres per hour in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 90 km, has a range of 125 kilometres according to the EV manufacturer. According to the business, it can be fully juiced in less than 5 hours.
Other features include a 7-inch TFT display with GPS and smartphone connectivity, twin projector headlamps, a telescopic front fork, twin shock absorbers in the back, drum brakes on both ends, and drum brakes on both ends. With three riding modes—Eco, Normal, and Sport—the S1 Air is offered in six different colour combinations.
