Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has launched the high-end electric SUV, Sealion 7, in India, further expanding its presence in the Indian market. The new model is priced between ₹48.90 lakh and ₹54.90 lakh, available in two trim levels: Performance and Premium. This marks a significant step in BYD’s push to grow its electric vehicle lineup in India.

The Sealion 7 features an aerodynamic design with LED headlights and DRLs, drawing design inspiration from BYD’s Seal sedan. The sleek front fascia, aggressive bumper styling, and sharp bonnet creases add to its sporty appeal. The SUV also boasts 20-inch alloy wheels (19-inch on the Premium edition) and flush door handles, making for a modern and sophisticated profile.

Inside, the Sealion 7 offers a luxurious black-themed cabin with a 15.6-inch rotating infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital driver display. Comfort features include ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, and multicolour ambient lighting. The vehicle is equipped with an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory function and a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system, ensuring a premium experience.

Safety features in the Sealion 7 are comprehensive, including eleven airbags, a 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring system, rain-sensing wipers, and Level-2 ADAS. Additionally, the vehicle offers vehicle-to-load (V2L) features and a motorized tailboard for added convenience.

With the launch of the Sealion 7, BYD strengthens its foothold in the Indian electric vehicle market, offering consumers a premium, feature-rich electric SUV. The Sealion 7 is expected to attract attention for its high-end features and strong performance, positioning it as a competitive option in India’s growing EV sector.
