Cadillac is set to enhance the in-car entertainment experience with its upcoming all-electric 2025 OPTIQ, featuring a standard 19-speaker AKG Audio System integrated with Dolby Atmos technology. This collaboration aims to deliver a multi-dimensional, studio-quality sound experience for drivers and passengers alike.

The OPTIQ’s AKG Audio System employs a 7.1.4 channel format, mirroring configurations used in professional music studios. This setup includes seven speakers positioned at ear level, one dedicated to bass, and four overhead speakers, creating an immersive audio environment. John Cockburn, chief engineer of the OPTIQ, emphasized the importance of precise speaker placement and integration in achieving this high-quality sound experience.

Dolby Laboratories collaborated closely with General Motors engineers to ensure the audio system accurately reproduces artists’ original intentions. This partnership reflects Cadillac’s commitment to innovation and delivering premium in-car entertainment.

The OPTIQ’s infotainment system, powered by GM’s advanced software platform, supports popular entertainment apps such as Amazon Music, Spotify, and Hulu. This integration allows users to stream their favorite content seamlessly, enhancing the overall driving experience.

In addition to its advanced audio capabilities, the 2025 OPTIQ boasts a sleek design and dual motor all-wheel drive, positioning it competitively in the luxury electric vehicle market. The inclusion of Dolby Atmos technology underscores Cadillac’s dedication to redefining in-car entertainment standards.
