At midnight on Independence Day, India’s first Electric Tractor at Talao Pali Lake Side in Thane was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shree Eknath Shinde.

CM Shinde discussed in his speech how this is in line with Maharashtra’s goal of encouraging sustainable farming methods. In order to clear the path for a more environmentally friendly future, he emphasized on the advantages of electric tractors for farmers and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to encourage the development of electric vehicles through favorable regulations and incentives.

The successful inauguration of the AutoNxt Electric Tractor by Shinde serves a remarkable progress in incorporating electric vehicles into agriculture, which stands for both technological advancement and a move towards sustainable farming.
