ELECQ unveiled its advanced smart home charging and energy management system at Power2Drive Europe 2025, featuring the Type 2 Home Charger and ELECQ Power Monitor. This integrated solution aims to optimize electric vehicle (EV) charging by balancing household energy consumption and enhancing grid stability.
The ELECQ Power Monitor continuously measures household power usage and communicates wirelessly with the EV charger via Wi-SUN technology. This allows the charger to adjust its output dynamically, preventing overloads and ensuring efficient energy distribution. The system supports three solar charging modes—Only Solar, Solar Priority, and Unlimited—enabling users to maximize the use of renewable energy sources.
Designed for residential use, the Type 2 Home Charger offers up to 22kW power output and features multi-layer safety protections, including over-current, over-voltage, overheating, and short-circuit safeguards. Its modular design allows for easy installation, reducing setup time and costs. The ELECQ App provides users with remote management capabilities, including scheduling, energy consumption tracking, and user billing.
ELECQ’s system supports direct OCPP connections to CSMS platforms and integrates with platforms like EVPLUG, ElectriEASE, and EVCC. The company’s commitment to compliance is evident, with products meeting international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and certifications including CE, CB, RED, RoHS, REACH, and WEEE.
Beyond hardware, ELECQ offers a comprehensive software ecosystem comprising the ELECQ App for private users, the Partner App for business clients, and the cloud-based ELECQ Cloud SaaS platform. These tools provide real-time monitoring, remote diagnostics, and advanced energy management features, including vehicle-to-grid (V2G) functionality and renewable energy optimization.
With its innovative approach to smart EV charging and energy management, ELECQ is poised to play a significant role in supporting the transition to sustainable energy solutions across Europe.
