Elektros Inc., a sustainable energy company based in Florida, has initiated a lithium mining project in southern Sierra Leone, marking a significant expansion into critical mineral development. The company has obtained all necessary permits and regulatory approvals to commence preliminary development at its strategically located site. With an advanced logistics and distribution framework already in place, Elektros aims to streamline the extraction and global distribution of lithium aggregates, essential for powering electric vehicles and clean energy technologies.

CEO Shlomo Bleier stated, “This initiative not only affirms our presence on the world stage but also exemplifies our capacity to elevate shareholder value while supporting the indispensable transition to a decarbonized, electrified future.” The company emphasized that the Sierra Leone initiative embodies its long-term commitment to sustainable mining practices, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship.

As global automakers ramp up electric vehicle production, securing a reliable supply of lithium has become mission-critical. Elektros’ move into Sierra Leone is a calculated response to the global lithium supply chain crisis, positioning the company as a critical player in the next phase of clean energy innovation.

The project not only aims to meet the surging demand for lithium but also aligns with Elektros’ vision of supporting the global energy transition. By establishing operations in Sierra Leone, the company is tapping into untapped mineral resources, contributing to the diversification of the global lithium supply chain.

Elektros’ strategic expansion into Africa underscores the continent’s growing importance in the global EV ecosystem. With abundant natural resources and increasing foreign investments, Africa is poised to become a significant player in the supply of critical minerals essential for clean energy technologies.

As Elektros advances its lithium mining operations in Sierra Leone, the company is set to play a pivotal role in powering the global EV revolution, ensuring a sustainable and secure supply of lithium for the burgeoning electric vehicle market.
