Ergon Labs and Omega Seiki Pvt. Ltd. have announced a strategic partnership to develop and integrate advanced power converters into electric three-wheelers, aiming to boost performance and efficiency in India’s growing EV market.
The collaboration will focus on creating high-efficiency, compact power converters tailored for the unique demands of electric three-wheeler applications. These components are critical for managing energy flow between the battery and motor, directly impacting range and reliability.
Ergon Labs, known for its innovation in power electronics, will bring its proprietary converter technology to the table, while Omega Seiki will integrate the systems into its expanding line of commercial electric vehicles. The companies said the joint effort would significantly improve energy efficiency and vehicle longevity.
“This partnership strengthens our commitment to delivering reliable and sustainable mobility solutions,” said Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility. “With Ergon Labs’ cutting-edge technology, we aim to raise the performance standards of our EV fleet.”
The power converters developed under this collaboration will be manufactured domestically, supporting the government’s Make in India initiative and reducing dependency on imported components. Both companies emphasized the importance of localized supply chains in accelerating EV adoption.
As electric three-wheelers gain traction in last-mile logistics and public transport, the companies believe their integrated solution will set a new benchmark in the segment, combining durability, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.
