Eveium, a premium electric vehicle brand, has announced a major localisation strategy aimed at making its high-end EVs more affordable in the Indian market. The company is increasing local production to reduce costs and improve accessibility without compromising on quality or performance.
In partnership with Ellysium Automotives, Eveium plans to manufacture key vehicle components, including frames and body parts, within India. This shift is expected to significantly cut import dependence and lower overall vehicle prices, making premium EVs a more attractive option for Indian buyers.
CEO Sohinder Gill emphasized that localisation will help Eveium reach a broader audience. “Our goal is to offer world-class products at competitive prices, and localising production is the most sustainable way to achieve this,” he stated. The company believes this strategy aligns with India’s Make in India vision and green mobility goals.
Currently offering three premium models—Czar, Comet, and Cosmos—Eveium aims to differentiate itself by combining European-inspired design with performance tailored for Indian roads. These vehicles feature top-tier components and smart connectivity features, all while targeting the upper-mid EV segment.
The brand also confirmed plans to expand its sales and service network to support growing demand. With rising interest in electric two-wheelers, Eveium wants to position itself as a luxury-yet-affordable alternative in India’s competitive EV landscape.
By focusing on local sourcing and efficient production, Eveium is laying the foundation for future growth and wider EV adoption in India. The localisation effort is also expected to enhance after-sales service, spare parts availability, and overall customer satisfaction.
