EV charging solutions provider EVERTA has launched its new DC fast charger manufacturing operations at a facility in Bengaluru, aligning with India’s broader Make‑in‑India and Atmanirbhar Bharat push. The plant is expected to become operational in the third quarter of 2025.
The company plans to invest ₹300 crore over five years, with an initial ₹150 crore dedicated to setting up the plant and related service infrastructure. EVERTA aims to manufacture 3,000 DC chargers annually by 2027.
EVERTA’s DC fast charger portfolio will include units ranging from 60 kW up to 320 kW and beyond—designed to serve three‑wheelers, passenger cars, buses, and trucks. The company intends to achieve more than 50% domestic value addition at launch, with full localisation expected in the coming years.
The launch is backed by a technology licensing agreement with StarCharge, a Singapore-based EVSE provider that has deployed more than two million chargers across 60 countries. This partnership will allow EVERTA to produce, install, and service advanced fast‑charging solutions domestically.
EVERTA projects capturing a 15% share of India’s DC fast‑charging market by 2030—enabling charging infrastructure for about four million EVs and supporting the country’s goal of 30% EV adoption in new vehicle sales. The plant is expected to create 400–450 jobs across manufacturing, deployment, and services.
Leadership emphasises a service‑focused strategy, stressing uptime, reliability, and support tailored for Indian conditions. CEO Manasvi Sharma noted early demand from charge point operators, fleet managers, and public transport depots—especially buses—with utilisation rates reaching 80% in such environments.
