According to a recent survey, 15.1 million electric cars will be sold globally in the next year, making up 16.7% of all new car sales globally. The analysis projects that sales of Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) would reach 11.6 million units in 2024, with an annual increase of about 30% anticipated in 2025.
Government regulations, taxes, subsidies, and charging infrastructure will all affect growth, though the effects will vary by area, according to S&P Global Mobility research.
Despite a 117% year-over-year growth, the poll concluded that EVs will only account for 7.5% of all car sales in India, according to data that focused on particular locations.
The study also revealed that although EVs will grow by 36% in the US, their market share will only reach 11.2%. However, it is anticipated that EVs will overtake ICE-powered vehicles in China for the first time, ten years ahead of schedule. It is projected that BEVs will increase sales by 43.4% a year and hold a 20.4% market share in central and western Europe.
