Hero Electric has hinted at the arrival of a new product in India. The company has shared the official teaser on its social media accounts.
“A new era of intelligent and sustainable mobility is all set to dawn! Are you ready to experience the newest electrifying ride from Hero Electric? Watch this space to know more,” the company said in a post on the microblogging site Twitter.
Additionally, it released a 12-second teaser that offers the electric scooter’s first, melancholy look. It is unclear, though, whether the scooter will be a new model or an upgrade to the Hero Optima. On March 15, the electric scooter is reportedly going on sale.
The teaser video indicates that the electric scooter will have an LED headlight mounted on the front cowl. LED turn indicators will be located in the middle of it. Front disc brakes, curved seats, a thick grab rail, and a blue paint scheme are additional features that the electric scooter is anticipated to have.
The business recently disclosed that it has a contract in place with US-based Zero Motorcycles to work together on high-end electric motorcycles. The collaboration combines Hero MotoCorp’s sizeable manufacturing, sourcing, and marketing capabilities with Zero’s expertise in creating powertrains and electric motorcycles.
“Our partnership with Zero Motorcycles is a significant milestone in our journey towards ushering in an era of sustainable clean technology in the mobility space. With Zero as our partner, we look forward to accelerating the transition of electric mobility in India and across our global markets,” said Pawan Munjal, Chairman & CEO, of Hero MotoCorp.
