Hero MotoCorp, the company that formerly owned the Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro electric scooters, has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of the new Vida V2. The world’s largest internal combustion engine (ICE) two-wheeler, the Vida 2, began its electric mobility trip in October 2022. The Vida 2 is essentially an extension of the V1 range.

The Vida V2 is available in three different models: the Lite (Rs 96,000), Plus (Rs 115,000), and Pro (Rs 135,000). The most cost-effective V2 Lite is a new variant with a tiny 2.2kWh battery pack with a stated 94km IDC range. Furthermore, compared to the Plus and Pro models, which have top speeds of 85 and 90 kph, respectively, its top speed is lower at 69 kph.

The Hero Vida V2, which retails for Rs 96,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), is similar to the TVS iQube 2.2 and Bajaj Chetak 2903 variants in terms of price and battery capacity.

The Vida V2 Plus and V2 Pro are difficult to distinguish from one another. These models are essentially quite similar to the V1 models, if not the same. The Rs 115,000 V2 Plus has an IDC range of 143 kilometers, a top speed of 85 kph, and a 3.44kWh battery pack. The range-topper in the Vida V2 family, the Rs 135,000 V2 Pro, has a 3.94kWh battery, a top speed of 90 kph, and an IDC range of 165 km.

The Vida 2 e-scooter has a 5-year/50,000km warranty, but the battery packs are only covered for 3 years or 30,000km.
