Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced the launch of two new electric commuter models, the CUV e: and ICON e:, as part of its audacious plan to offer 30 electric motorbike models globally by 2030. Honda is committed to expanding its range of electric cars (EVs), as seen by the tenth and eleventh models in the lineup, which were introduced during a press conference in Indonesia.

CUV e:The CUV e is an electric scooter designed for city riding that is powered by two Honda Mobile Power Pack e: swappable batteries. It is comparable to a 110cc engine. Its sophisticated, understated look is complemented by its effective motor technology, which provides a longer operating range and increased energy efficiency. Furthermore, the CUV e features a reverse mode for maneuvering in tight spaces in addition to three riding modes (STANDARD, SPORT, and ECON). Additionally, Honda RoadSync Duo® connects the scooter to customers’ devices so they may pair them with Bluetooth® for calls and navigation.

ICON e: The ICON e:, which is based on the EM1 e:, features a fixed ternary lithium-ion battery and is categorized as a Class 1 moped in Japan. The redesigned model combines practical features like under-seat storage, a USB charging outlet, and a digital LCD dashboard with convenience and functionality. The ICON e: delivers a smooth and noiseless ride with a cruising range of over 50 km on a single charge, making it ideal for daily use in urban environments.

Honda plans to produce both models in Indonesia and gradually introduce them to other regions in order to expand the accessibility and versatility of electric motorcycles for riders worldwide. By producing motorcycles that are carbon neutral by the 2040s, Honda intends to further establish itself as a leader in environmentally friendly transportation. That is the aim of this action.
