At the 2025 DriveONE & Smart Charging Network Strategy and Product Launch in Shanghai, Huawei unveiled its latest advancements in electric vehicle (EV) technology, emphasizing ultra-fast charging solutions and a comprehensive electrification strategy. The event highlighted Huawei’s commitment to revolutionizing the EV charging landscape through innovative technologies and strategic collaborations.

A centerpiece of the launch was Huawei’s new liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging system, capable of delivering charging speeds of up to 720 kilowatts. This technology enables EVs to gain approximately 200 kilometers of range in just five minutes, significantly reducing charging times and addressing a critical barrier to EV adoption . The system’s modular design and high efficiency aim to enhance scalability and adaptability across various charging scenarios.

Huawei’s DriveONE power domain convergence solution was also introduced, aiming to integrate power generation, storage, and consumption for EVs. This holistic approach seeks to optimize energy utilization and support the development of a more sustainable and intelligent transportation ecosystem . By combining hardware and software innovations, Huawei aspires to provide a seamless and efficient driving experience for EV users.

In addition to product launches, Huawei released its “Top 10 Trends of Charging Network Industry 2025,” outlining key directions for the EV charging sector. These trends include the proliferation of ultra-fast charging, the integration of photovoltaic and energy storage systems with charging infrastructure, and the advancement of intelligent charging experiences . Huawei emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to accelerate the deployment of charging networks and support the growing EV market.

Huawei’s strategic initiatives extend beyond China, with plans to expand its ultra-fast charging solutions globally. The company aims to address challenges related to charging infrastructure, grid compatibility, and user experience by leveraging its expertise in digital power technologies. Through partnerships and innovation, Huawei seeks to contribute to the global transition towards sustainable transportation.

As the EV industry continues to evolve, Huawei’s announcements at the DriveONE launch underscore its dedication to driving technological progress and fostering a more connected and efficient mobility landscape. By focusing on integrated solutions and forward-looking strategies, Huawei positions itself as a key player in shaping the future of electric transportation.
