Hypercharge Networks has announced the successful delivery and installation of 500 electric vehicle (EV) chargers at Oakridge Park, a major mixed-use development in Vancouver.
The deployment is part of a long-term agreement between Hypercharge and Westbank, the developer behind Oakridge Park, aimed at building one of the largest EV-ready communities in the region. The chargers will support residential, retail, and commercial tenants at the site.
According to company officials, the 500 Level 2 chargers were installed across the site’s parking infrastructure, allowing for scalable and accessible EV charging as demand increases. The chargers are now fully operational and integrated with Hypercharge’s digital network.
Oakridge Park, which is being positioned as a “city within a city,” is designed to be a sustainable urban center. The EV chargers align with its broader green mobility and smart infrastructure goals. Officials say the project represents a major step toward urban decarbonization.
The collaboration reflects a growing trend in Canadian real estate, where developers are incorporating EV infrastructure into new and revitalized properties. Hypercharge emphasized the importance of future-proofing developments to meet the rising demand for clean transportation.
The Oakridge Park project is expected to serve as a blueprint for similar initiatives across North America. Hypercharge plans to expand its partnerships with real estate groups to support wider EV adoption in both urban and suburban markets.
