In a significant achievement, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) announced that its flagship SUV, the Hyundai Creta, became the highest-selling car in India for March 2025, with 18,059 units sold in that month alone.

The Creta continued its dominance in the SUV segment, leading sales in the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25 (January–March) with cumulative sales of 52,898 units. For the entire financial year, the model registered a record-breaking 1,94,871 units, marking a 20% year-on-year growth and securing its position as the third highest-selling passenger vehicle in India.

Launched in 2015, the Hyundai Creta has completed a decade on Indian roads in 2025. Over this period, it has established a strong emotional connection with more than 1.2 million customers, becoming a symbol of style, trust, and aspirational mobility.

Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer of HMIL, expressed pride in this milestone, stating that the Creta’s consistent brand leadership in the SUV segment and its status as the best-selling model in March 2025 reflect its strong bond with Indian customers.

The Creta’s success has significantly contributed to Hyundai’s overall sales, with the SUV accounting for 31% of the company’s total sales in 2024. This underscores the model’s pivotal role in Hyundai’s growth strategy in India.

Looking ahead, Hyundai plans to expand the Creta lineup with the introduction of the Creta Electric, set to launch in January 2025. This move aims to strengthen Hyundai’s position in the evolving Indian automotive market and cater to the growing demand for electric vehicles.
