Hyundai IONIQ 6 has solidified its position in the electric vehicle (EV) market by securing second place overall and first in the “premium class” category in the P3 Charging Index 2024. This achievement underscores Hyundai dedication to advanced EV technology and energy efficiency.

Equipped with an 800V architecture, the IONIQ 6 (tested in the RWD Long Range version) demonstrated exceptional charging capabilities, replenishing enough energy for a 346 km range in just 20 minutes. Additionally, it showcased remarkable energy efficiency, consuming only 15.5 kWh per 100 km in the ADAC Ecotest, making it the most efficient vehicle among all models evaluated.

The IONIQ 6’s aerodynamic design, featuring a drag coefficient of just 0.21, contributes to its energy efficiency and high performance. The vehicle achieved a peak charging power of over 235 kW and maintained an average charging rate of 193 kW, ensuring optimal performance across various state-of-charge (SoC) levels.

This recognition in the P3 Charging Index 2024 highlights Hyundai commitment to delivering vehicles that combine cutting-edge technology with practical efficiency, reinforcing the IONIQ 6’s status as a leader in the EV segment.

The IONIQ 6’s performance in the P3 Charging Index 2024 not only reflects Hyundai technological advancements but also sets a benchmark for future developments in electric mobility, emphasizing the importance of fast charging and energy efficiency in the evolving EV landscape.
