Hyundai Motor Company pulled the covers off its first all-electric N sedan the IONIQ 6 N. This marks a significant milestone in Hyundai’s electrification journey, offering motorsport-inspired performance combined with cutting-edge EV technology.
The IONIQ 6 N represents Hyundai’s push into high-performance electric mobility, building upon the company’s Electrified-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Designed for enthusiasts, the car blends the aerodynamic silhouette of the IONIQ 6 with aggressive N-brand styling cues and dynamic enhancements. The unveiling also aligns with the N brand’s 10th anniversary, commemorating a decade of performance innovation.
Equipped with dual electric motors delivering 650 PS (478 kW) and 770 Nm of torque, the IONIQ 6 N accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 260 km/h. Hyundai has integrated rally-bred technologies including N Grin Boost and N Pedal for an adrenaline-rich driving experience, coupled with features like N Drift Optimizer and a simulated N e-shift with N Active Sound+.
The EV made its dynamic debut at Goodwood’s iconic hill climb, piloted by none other than Hyundai Motorsport WRC driver Dani Sordo. The automaker also showcased other N brand icons such as the IONIQ 5 N and the RN22e — a rolling lab vehicle instrumental in shaping the IONIQ 6 N’s development.
To engage a global audience, Hyundai has also launched a digital content series titled ‘Hyundai N | Never Just Drive’. The campaign dives deep into the brand’s philosophy of pushing boundaries in performance, backed by in-depth engineering insights and behind-the-scenes footage of the development process.
With the IONIQ 6 N, Hyundai signals its intent to redefine electric performance and bring motorsport excitement to the EV segment. By merging innovation with emotion, the brand aims to make high-performance driving more accessible and sustainable in the electrified era.
