BeiGo, a powerful electric pickup trike from iGowise Mobility (iGo), is slated to launch in the logistics and eCommerce sectors. The launch, which is set for Diwali, is a part of iGo’s attempts to address the growing demand for sustainable, last-mile delivery choices in India’s quickly growing fast commerce industry. The company plans to roll out 6,000 BeiGo trikes in the next 18 months in partnership with major eCommerce players like BBNow, Flipkart Minutes, and Swiggy Instamart.
The rider-to-owner model will be applied to the BeiGo trikes. They are designed especially for high-load, last-mile deliveries. This program aims to make the transition to electric vehicles more accessible for logistics professionals by offering affordable financing options, in collaboration with sustainable vehicle lender EvateTech. Vehicle as a Service (VaaS) and Battery as a Service (BaaS), two of iGo’s cutting-edge pricing models, allow customers to rent trikes for as little as INR 100 for up to 40 kilometers with no up-front costs. Additionally, under the BaaS model, customers will be able to subscribe to battery services starting at INR 1 per kilometer, regardless of credit history.
According to Sravan Kumar Appana, co-founder and CEO of iGo, last-mile operations currently account for 50% of logistical expenses, suggesting that BeiGo might have a significant impact on the logistics sector. With BeiGo, we want to provide delivery riders with a high-capacity, reasonably priced solution that reduces physical strain and, with our many pricing options, allows them to earn up to INR 40,000 each month.
