The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) and Zynetic Electric Vehicles Charging Private Limited, a company that builds, maintains, and runs EV charging stations, have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This partnership aims to support the development and deployment of state-of-the-art AC and DC fast chargers for EVs, thereby contributing to the expansion of India’s EV infrastructure.
Zynetic is committed to creating EV charging solutions that are both high-performing and eco-friendly. Zynetic, an expert in EV charging systems, aims to assist India’s shift to sustainable energy sources by building EV infrastructure.
Through this Memorandum of Understanding, IIT Kanpur and Zynetic aim to collaborate on research, academic exchange, and consulting to address significant difficulties in EV charging technology. The main areas of focus will be power electronics, embedded systems, and predictive maintenance through the combination of artificial intelligence and machine learning. By combining IIT Kanpur’s research strengths with Zynetic’s industry experience, the alliance seeks to develop reliable and efficient next-generation EV chargers to meet the needs of India’s growing EV market.
Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur, stated, “Our partnership with Zynetic is a shining example of how academia and industry can work together to improve EV infrastructure and support India’s environmental objectives.” “To achieve the government’s goal of 30% EV adoption for new private automobile registrations by 2030, a vast network of charging stations is required. Thanks to this collaboration, IIT Kanpur can help India’s energy ambitions and environmental practices.
This partnership shows how Zynetic and IIT Kanpur share goals in developing EV technology and infrastructure. By combining money, expertise, and research, this partnership hopes to have a major impact on India’s EV infrastructure and technological development.
