What happens to EV users who live in large residential societies in urban areas, and have to recharge their respective vehicles? Chances are that the majority of them have to travel outside their societies, find operational chargers around the city, and wait in queues before their chance comes up. While many would not feel it to be much problematic if it happens once or twice in a blue moon, continuously trying to find new operational chargers and queues leads to an adverse impact on EV adoption.

For instance, many of us have some idea about the growing focus on EVs in Delhi-NCR owing to government regulations regarding standard ICE cars. However, we must have also noticed the state of the huge majority of chargers in the city, which is not limited to only Delhi, but everywhere in India. Many chargers do not work, and the ones that do have a huge queue in front of them. This not only leads to inaccessibility and inconvenience but also congestion, something that is highly problematic in an urban setting. Prominent data suggests that residents at large housing societies tend to be more inclined towards using Electric Vehicles as their most preferred mobility solutions, however, they too find it difficult to find operational chargers that are capable of addressing their requirements.

Mr. Krishna K Jasti, CEO & CPO of EVRE, believes this highlights a glaring gap in India’s EV infrastructure space, “We must look to integrate convenience and ease of charging if India is to adopt electric vehicles as their preferred choice of mobility. We are already witnessing the difficulties EV owners residing in large residential societies face in terms of charging their vehicles. At EVRE, we are working around the clock to bridge this gap by collaborating with real-estate builders and collaborate on setting up state-of-the-art EV charging infrastructure that is monitored 24*7, creating value and integrating convenience for potential buyers and existing residents.”

With a targeted view of bridging the gap in EV charging infrastructure at large residential societies, EVRE is heavily focusing on hyperlocalization of the charging infrastructure. By setting up several chargers at parking spaces of these residential behemoths, the firm is creating a chain reaction that is reducing congestion at public chargers. As a result, EV users who reside elsewhere are benefitting tremendously, and becoming ambassadors of electric mobility themselves.

However, while hyperlocalization of EV chargers is expected to help EV owners, it is also a collaborative move. Builders and real-estate developers around the country are looking for more ideas about the value creation of their properties and continued price appreciation, making them more convenient for potential buyers. For this, EVRE’s strategy of creating a smart network of EV chargers at scale will be a tremendous boost to India’s goal of focusing on Electric Mobility. This will also strengthen the overall credibility of EVs for end users, leading to measurable growth in the sector for all stakeholders concerned.
