Infineon Technologies AG and Eatron have expanded their partnership to create a comprehensive battery management system (BMS) portfolio, incorporating AI-powered software and advanced semiconductor components. This collaboration leverages Infineon’s PSOC microcontrollers and Eatron’s AI optimization technologies to enhance battery performance, safety, and reliability for various industries, including automotive, consumer electronics, and energy storage.

The integrated solution combines Eatron’s AI-powered BMS software with Infineon’s MOSFETs for battery protection and PSOC 6 for machine learning capabilities. This enables businesses to predict battery state-of-charge (SOC), lower system costs, and accelerate time-to-market, offering advantages for industries like electric vehicles, wearables, and portable medical devices.

As the demand for longer battery life and predictive maintenance increases, AI has become essential in optimizing battery systems. This partnership addresses these needs, enhancing battery performance and supporting the growing market for energy storage solutions, robotics, and battery-powered IoT products.

Eatron’s AI-driven software has been pre-validated on Infineon’s PSoC microcontroller, demonstrating superior results compared to traditional battery management techniques. The evaluation involved testing on a commercially available LG Chem cell, showing consistent performance across varying temperatures, reinforcing the reliability of their combined technology.

This collaboration between Infineon and Eatron promises to revolutionize the battery management sector by delivering highly efficient, scalable solutions for a wide range of industries. The AI-powered BMS is poised to set new benchmarks for performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability in battery-powered systems.
