Integrals Power, a pioneering producer of next-generation battery materials, is continuing its strategic growth by strengthening the supply chain for its breakthrough Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate cathode active materials.

The company is partnering with Euro Manganese to secure a supply of high purity Manganese Sulphate Monohydrate (HPMSM) – a critical raw material for the battery sector, and which China accounts for more than 90% of production.1 Euro Manganese will produce HPMSM in a facility in the Czech Republic – which will be the only source within Europe – and ship it to Integrals Powers’ pilot line in the UK.

This will enable Integrals Power to continue scaling-up capacity from the current 20 tonnes a year to mass-production as it commercialises its LMFP technology. Demand for LMFP, particularly for electric vehicle batteries, is expected to increase in the coming years because it enables comparable range to Nickel Manganese Cobalt cell chemistries but for significantly less cost and with greater levels of safety and thermal stability.

Integrals Power Founder and CEO, Behnam Hormozi, said: “Our collaboration with Euro Manganese is a major step forward in securing a reliable, traceable, and local supply of high-purity manganese – a key ingredient in our LMFP cathode materials. This partnership enhances Integrals Power’s ability to scale cathode production sustainably while supporting the growing demand for high-performance battery technologies across UK & Europe. It aligns perfectly with our mission to build a resilient, transparent supply chain that underpins the energy transition.”

Martina Blahova, CEO of Euro Manganese, commented: “We are excited to partner with Integrals Power to advance cutting-edge battery technologies. Integrals Power’s innovative cathode materials are at the forefront of the global transition towards safer, more sustainable, and cost-effective battery solutions and are designed to support a wide range of applications. We look forward to supplying fully traceable, responsibly produced products that enhance energy efficiency and drive emissions reduction.”

Testing to determine compatibility of Euro Manganese’s HPMSM with Integrals Power’s production process and the performance of the resulting LMFP materials will begin in the third quarter of this year. Following the successful completion of the tests, the letter of intent signed by both companies will see supply of the HPMSM for an initial term of seven years, with the option to renew for additional successive four-year periods.

Euro Manganese will produce the HPMSM at its Czech Republic facility using old tailings from a decommissioned mine. Recycling a by-product in this way will help to lower batteries’ carbon footprint and environmental impact. These attributes will become even more important with the introduction from 2027 of EU Battery Passport regulations, which will track the full lifecycle of every EV battery sold in the EU market.
