Electric two-wheeler manufacturer, iVOOMi Energy has declared that its Li-on Battery Packs have received an AIS 156 authorization under Amendment III Phase 1.

The company wants to create a vibrant ecosystem for EVs to increase momentum by complying with manufacturing standards as per government norms and regulations.

iVOOMi is the only OEM to control both battery packs and electric scooters that are certified under AIS 156 Amendment III Phase 1 from the prestigious ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India).

The battery, under the extensive testing process, met all safety, protection, and performance parameters that altogether make it a highly competitive and unmatchable product that matches up to the requirements of ARAI Certification.

This high-performance, world-class quality battery incorporates all essential and promising elements, such as mandatory safety and overcharge protection, an additional safety fuse, charger and battery communication, etc.

iVOOMi has manufacturing facilities in Pune, Noida, and Ahmednagar with an annual capacity of 720 megawatts.

Adding to the development, the company is aiming to meet safety standards under the certified AIS 156 Amendment III Phase 2 by April 2023 and will be submitting the corresponding document to ARAI by January.

The company produces battery packs for two-wheel electric vehicles. iVOOMi is currently one of the top 20 EV producers in the nation based on sales volume, but only because it is prominently present in Maharashtra, which is 5% of the EV market.

The company is all set to commence Battery 3.0, a cutting-edge design solution based on IoT support for real-time performance and battery health monitoring while adhering to all guidelines and restrictions set forth by the government.
