A leading supplier of electric vehicle charging systems and an energy tech business with headquarters in Kerala, India, has announced ambitious intentions for growth. The company intends to install an additional 500 slow EV Chargers and 100 fast EV Chargers with the goal of strengthening its footprint in Kerala. The company expects to install an additional 1000 slow chargers and 200 fast chargers throughout various states in India. This does not include the 2000 charging stations located throughout India and the 1500 stations now in Kerala. Approximately 1300 AC slow chargers and 150 DC fast chargers are now in operation within Kerala, while the company also manages about 500 AC slow chargers outside of the state.

ChargeMOD has created a whole ecosystem for EV charging, including hardware and software that are designed and made in India, by utilizing its knowledge and dedication to innovation. This has allowed chargeMOD to set new benchmarks in the market. The thoughtful positioning of DC fast chargers within a 50 km radius and AC slow chargers within a 5 km radius highlights chargeMOD’s commitment to accessibility and usability for EV consumers across the country.

Ultra Fast Chargers with capacities ranging from 120 kW to 340 kW will be introduced by chargeMOD as part of its next big project, considerably improving charging speeds and convenience for EV consumers nationwide. Over 2000 chargers have been distributed by chargeMOD throughout India to date, and over 72,000 people have downloaded apps. Having enabled more than two lakh charging sessions thus far, encouraging drivers to connect their electric cars. chargeMOD has made it possible for over 4 million kilometers of emission-free travel, preventing over 995 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions and saving more than 160,000 liters of gasoline. Over 120 new users join the network every day.

Our company, which was founded by four engineering students, has grown from a startup to a major force in the entrepreneurial world because to our innovative ideas and dedication to sustainability. Big names in the industry as well as EV aficionados around the country are taking notice of our creative ideas. In spite of the challenges presented by low-cost foreign chargers, chargeMOD is unwavering in its commitment to finding a balance between cost and quality. chargeMOD prioritizes efficiency and dependability above all else in order to keep up its leadership role in the EV charging industry, according to M. Ramanunni, the company’s CEO and co-founder.

chargeMOD is actively involved in a number of initiatives to support EV adoption and innovation in addition to expanding its charging infrastructure. These include conducting EV charging workshops at engineering colleges, working with industry and academia on R&D projects, developing and producing high-power DC fast chargers, and setting up specialized EV charging hubs to accommodate a greater number of EVs, including buses and trucks and two-wheelers.

In addition to setting new benchmarks in its endeavors as the exclusive public electric vehicle charger provider for EV cars in Kerala, chargeMOD, a startup supported by Kerala Startup Mission, is the first in the state to create a native mobile app for charging stations. chargeMOD boasts 150 fast charging stations, a network of more than 2000 charging stations spread throughout ten states, and customer service available in six languages. Phoenix Angels has awarded the company a ₹2.5 crore pre-seed financing round.
