Out of an initial selection of 42 cars, the Kia EV3 was chosen as one of seven finalists for the 2025 Car of the Year award by a team of 60 jurors from 23 different countries. This milestone is the fourth consecutive year that a Kia electric vehicle has made it to the final round, following the 2022 victory of the Kia EV6.
With its class-leading range of up to 605 km (WLTP), the EV3’s 400V fast-charging technology enables a charge from 10% to 80% in just 29 minutes*. One of the most efficient electric vehicles in its class, the EV3 can cover 202 kilometers in 15 minutes. Its performance is supported by Kia Charge, the brand’s extensive network that provides access to over 800,000 charging stations throughout 28 European nations.
Kia’s “Opposites United” design idea, which blends modern form with natural balance, is best represented by the EV3. Its 2.68-meter wheelbase and 4.30-meter length offer a spacious, living room-inspired interior that is complemented by useful features like a 460-liter boot, a flexible two-tier floor, and a 25-liter trunk.
“I am proud that Kia is the only brand in Europe that has made it to the COTY finalist stage six times over the last eight editions and even won with a dedicated EV,” said Marc Hedrich, President and CEO of Kia Europe. “An adaptable and affordable electric vehicle that shows that an EV can be the main vehicle in the home and fit a variety of lifestyles is the Kia EV3, which is currently available throughout Europe.”
