Kia India has officially introduced its premium electric SUV, the EV9, priced at ₹1.29 crore. This luxury EV enters a competitive market, competing with premium rivals like the BMW iX and Audi Q8 e-tron, solidifying Kia’s position in the high-end electric vehicle class.

The Kia EV9 has an electric motor mounted on its front axle, which produces a maximum power output of 378 horsepower and torque of 700 Nm. The SUV has remarkable speed and reactivity, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds thanks to its potent configuration.
Range and Abilities of Charging
According to Kia, the EV9 is perfect for long-distance travel since it can go up to 561 kilometers on a single charge. Thanks to its 350 kW fast-charging capacity, the car offers ultra-fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes.

The EV9 is built on the joint E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) between Hyundai and Kia. Its skateboard shape maximizes cabin room by integrating the power pack into the floor. Additionally, the vehicle now has 198 mm of ground clearance, which improves its performance on a variety of terrains.

Kia EV9’s exterior design is based on the GT-Line style, with distinctive features like ‘Ice Cube’ LED headlights, a digital pattern lighting grille, and ‘Starmap’ daytime running lights (DRLs).
